From the April 22, 1972 Metropolitan Opera Gala honoring general manager Sir Rudolph Bing, comes this Deutsche Grammophon LP! Bing, 1902-1997, was general manager of the opera from 1950 to 1972, and was knighted the previous year. The concert featured such legendary performers as Placido Domingo, Regina Resnik, Martina Arroyo, James Levine, and Franco Corelli. 7 selections:
