CONNIE CROTHERS, an outstanding pianist, Jazz artist, and free improviser, left us just over a year ago (8/13/16). Connie taught alongside Phil at Swing University where they both presented the listening lessons of Lennie Tristano. Connie Crothers’ business card has the addition of Maxine Roach’s (Maxine, a prominent violist, is Max Roach’s daughter) information and name in Maxine’s hand on the back.
